If an opponent physically attacks a player casting Counter Attack while facing it, the attack will be blocked and the caster will perform one critical attack on them, ending the Counter Attack stance. Alternatively, a user can begin casting Counter Attack and then click on a monster within range during the skill. Their attack will have twice the chance to be a critical attack and will gain 20 accuracy.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The attack that takes place will still have an [[ASPD]]-based delay. Therefore, higher ASPD is required to use Counter Attack effectively against fast-attacking opponents. Skills cannot be Countered.&lt;br /&gt;

== Applications ==&lt;br /&gt;
All monsters, including [[Boss]] flagged monsters, can have their physical attacks countered and blocked by Counter Attack. This makes it ideal for tanking. It is less effective against multiple opponents, however, as the user must be facing a monster to counter it&amp;#039;s attacks.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In [[PvP]] scenarios, Counter Attack is generally less useful as it cannot block skill-based damage.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
