== Description ==

Protects a Party Member by taking all of the damage inflicted on said Party Member. The Party Member must be within 10 levels of the caster. The damage that the caster receives from Sacrifice is affected by the Party Member`s [[DEF|Defense]], rather than the caster's. However, if the caster activates [[Guard]], [[Shield Reflect]], or [[Defending Aura]], these skills will also affect Party Members targeted by Sacrifice and will generally function as if the Sacrificed party members had them as well.

Inflict high damage for the next few normal attacks, while sacrificing [[HP]]. Once Martyr's Reckoning is cast, the character will lose an amount of health equal to 9% of the caster's [[Max HP]] upon executing the next five attacks. However, these 5 attacks will have enhanced damage. Martyr's Reckoning has no time duration.
 
Martyr's Reckoning is an instant cast self-buff like [[Guard]] or [[Shield Reflect]]. Upon casting 100 [[SP]] is consumed and the buff will last forever until the 5 hits are consumed or the buff is removed. Re-logging, a sage's [[Dispel]], dying, or casting [[Battle Chant]] will remove the buff.

== Damage Factors ==
*If a player goes beyond the range of Sacrifice, their line of Sacrifice will graphically disappear. Sacrifice does not deactivate until a player takes damage when out of range of the skill, or the duration of the skill expires.  
 
*Cannot be cast on other [[Crusader]]s.  
* Damage is increased according to [[Max HP]], skill level and  weapon +% damage cards, {{item|id= 1425 Battlegrounds Assaulter Spear}}  being the best weapon for [[WoE]]/[[PVP]]. [[ATK]] does not affect the  damage.
*When a player is Sacrificed, none of their skills can be interrupted by physical or magical attacks as they are not actually receiving any damage. However, certain skills such as [[Provoke]] and [[Gloria Domini]], bypass this protective effect.
* Cards increasing the damage will not affect the amount of HP sacrificed.
*If the Crusader receives damage that exceeds their remaining HP through Sacrifice, they will die, and any damage exceeding the Crusader's hit points does not pass to the original target receiving the damage.  
* It is always [[Neutral]] element. Meaning Ghostring and [[Neutral]] resistances reduces its damage. Using a weapon elemental endow does NOT allow it to bypass Neutral resistances.
*Certain abilities function through Sacrifice: Guard, Shield Reflect, and Defending Aura. Guard works as if the sacrificed target had the skill active, also inducing physical attack delay when activated. Shield Reflect only works on melee skills when applied through Sacrifice. This includes Guillotine Fist, as well as Arrow Shower cast by a monster. Defending Aura currently will slow all sacrificed targets when activated, but only apply a reduced damage reduction compared to the 80% reduction on the caster.  
* Reduction gears like Cranial and Poo lower the damage.
*Sacrifice will prevent the [[Soul Linker]] skill Kaite from functioning since damage is redirected toward the Sacrificing character.  
* [[Magnum Break]]'s Fire damage bonus does increase its damage.
*Refreshing Sacrifice (recasting it on a sacrificed target before its duration ends) requires that the number of players currently being sacrificed is at least 1 less than your limit.
* {{item |id=2644 The Sign}} accessory boosts MR's damage by 5%, and {{item|id=2720 Battlegrounds Swordman's Medal of Honor}} only the boosts with +500 HP part(its attack 5% part does not).
* [[Shield Reflect]] reflects its damage.
* It does suffer skill damage penalty during [[WoE]].

* Baphomet Card does not give splash damage for hits.
* Can be used on Boss Monsters.
* Turning MR on and then casting [[Gloria Domini]], MR can still be used during GD's delay.
* [[Counter Instinct]] has a chance of halving MR's damage and reflecting it back upon the caster if it is being used with a Sword or Dagger type weapon.

Information

Damage Factors
